1. Introduction
Leeg Inc. ("Leeg," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Leeg mobile application and Platform (the "App").
This Policy applies to all users of the Leeg App in Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec) and the United States. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the App.
We take a straightforward approach to privacy: we collect what we need to deliver your experience, we use it to personalize and improve that experience, we don't sell it, and we protect it.
2. Who We Are
Leeg Inc. is the data controller responsible for personal information collected through the App.

This Policy applies to:
All registered users of the Leeg App in Canada (excluding Quebec) and the United States
Individuals who interact with Leeg's website or marketing communications
Individuals whose information Leeg receives through talent marketplace features or institutional partner programmes
This Policy does not apply to third-party services linked from or integrated with the App. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through or in connection with the App.
4. What Personal Information We Collect
We collect three types of information: what you tell us directly, what you generate by using the App, and what we collect automatically.
4.1 Information You Provide
When you register and use the App, you may provide:
Account and identity information
Full name, email address, and phone number

Payment information
Subscription plan selection and billing contact information
Payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. Leeg does not store your full payment card details.
4.2 Information Generated by Your Use of the App
The App automatically generates and collects:
Usage data — features you access, time and duration of use, content you interact with, buttons you tap, and navigation patterns within the App
Personalization signals — how you respond to recommendations, which content you find helpful or unhelpful, and how your career goals evolve over time
Assessment and learning progress — your scores, completion rates, and performance on quizzes and knowledge boosts
Device information — device type, operating system and version, and unique device identifiers
Log data — IP address, access times, error logs, and crash reports
General location — country and region, inferred from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
4.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from:
Employer or institutional partners — if you access the App through an employer-sponsored or institution-affiliated programme, we may receive basic account setup information from that organization, with your knowledge
Professional networks — if you choose to connect a professional profile (such as LinkedIn) to your App account, we receive the information you authorize that connection to share
App stores — Apple App Store and Google Play Store may provide basic transaction information related to your subscription purchase
4.4 Sensitive Information
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health data, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, or biometric data) through the standard features of the App. If you voluntarily include such information in a journal entry, career goal, or other user-generated content, you consent to our handling of that information consistent with this Policy. We will not use it for any purpose beyond delivering your App experience.
5. How We Use Your Information
5.1 To Deliver and Personalize Your Career O/S Experience
This is the primary reason we collect your information. Specifically, we use it to:
Create and manage your account
Power the Career O/S — including generating personalized career path recommendations, skills gap assessments, learning pathway suggestions, and opportunity matches
Personalize your app experience using algorithms that analyse your profile, journal entries, goal plans, quiz responses, knowledge boost interactions, and usage behaviour to surface content, recommendations, and insights most relevant to your career stage and goals
Track your progress toward career goals and surface insights based on your activity over time
Match you with relevant opportunities through the Talent Marketplace, if you opt in
5.2 To Improve the App and Our AI
We use your information to:
Analyse how users interact with features to understand what is working and what can be improved
Train and refine the algorithms that power Career O/S personalization, using aggregated or de-identified data and, where authorized, individual interaction data
Develop new features, assessments, and content based on user needs and behaviour
Conduct research on career development patterns to improve the quality of our recommendations
Where applicable law requires your explicit consent before using your individually identifiable information to train AI models, we will seek that consent separately from your acceptance of these terms.
5.3 To Communicate With You
We use your contact information to:
Send account-related notifications (registration confirmation, password resets, account security alerts)
Send Critical Communications — including data breach notifications, material changes to our terms or this Policy, and legally required notices
Send marketing and promotional communications about Leeg features and opportunities, subject to your consent as described in Section 8
5.4 For Legal, Security, and Compliance Purposes
We use your information to:
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes in Canada and the United States
Enforce our Terms of Service
Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, security incidents, and prohibited conduct
Respond to requests from regulatory authorities, law enforcement, or courts
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
6. How We Use Algorithms and Personalization
The Leeg App is built around personalization. Here is specifically how your information feeds the Career O/S:
What goes in: Your career profile, journal entries, goal plans, quiz and assessment responses, knowledge boost interactions, and how you engage with recommendations over time.
What comes out: Personalized career path suggestions, skills development priorities, curated learning content, career insights, and (if you opt in) talent marketplace matches that reflect your goals, strengths, and preferences.
How it works: Our algorithms identify patterns in your activity — for example, topics you engage with deeply in journal entries, skills gaps revealed by quiz performance, or goals you return to repeatedly — and use these signals to surface content and guidance most relevant to you. Your personalized experience evolves as you use the App and add more information.
What it is not: Algorithmic outputs are career development suggestions, not binding assessments of your employability, qualifications, or suitability for any specific role. No AI-generated output from the App constitutes professional advice. You are always free to disregard, adjust, or seek human guidance on any recommendation.
Your control: You can review, update, or delete the information that feeds your personalized experience at any time through your account settings. You can also request a full copy of your personal information (see Section 11).
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances.
7.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party companies who help us operate the App. These include:
Cloud hosting and infrastructure — for storing and processing App data
Payment processors — for handling subscription billing (they process payment data according to PCI DSS standards and their own privacy policies)
Analytics providers — for understanding how users interact with the App
Communication services — for sending emails and push notifications
AI infrastructure — for powering Career O/S features
Customer support tools — for responding to user inquiries
Security and fraud prevention services
All service providers are bound by data processing agreements that require them to protect your information and use it only to provide services to Leeg. A list of key service providers is available on request by emailing privacy@leegworks.com.
7.2 Employer and Institutional Partners
If you access the App through an employer-sponsored or institutional programme, we may share certain profile and usage information with that organization to administer the programme. This sharing only occurs with your knowledge and as disclosed at the time of registration. Your journal entries, personal reflections, and any content you create in the App are private to your account and are never shared with an employer or institution without your explicit consent.
7.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information when required or permitted by law, including:
In response to a valid subpoena, court order, or regulatory request
To comply with applicable laws and regulations in Canada or the United States
To detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, security incidents, or violations of our Terms of Service
To protect the rights, property, or safety of Leeg, our users, or the public
7.5 Business Transactions
If Leeg is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or other corporate restructuring, your personal information may be disclosed to the other party as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality obligations. We will notify you of any such change and any material impact on how your information is handled.
7.6 Aggregated and De-Identified Data
We may share aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data — which cannot reasonably be used to identify you — for research, reporting, or business development purposes. This data is not personal information.
8. Marketing Communications
8.1 Canadian Users — CASL
For users in Canada, we send marketing Commercial Electronic Messages (CEMs) only with your express or implied consent, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Express consent is obtained through a clear opt-in at account registration or when you subscribe to marketing communications. It is never bundled with account creation.
Implied consent from an existing business relationship lasts two years from your last transaction with Leeg. After that, we will ask for renewed express consent before sending further marketing CEMs.
Every marketing email we send to Canadian users includes Leeg's full legal name, mailing address, and a functional unsubscribe link.
Unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days.
8.2 United States Users — CAN-SPAM
For users in the United States, our commercial emails comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. All commercial emails include accurate sender identification, a non-deceptive subject line, our physical mailing address, and a clear opt-out mechanism. Opt-out requests are processed within 10 business days.
8.3 How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving marketing communications at any time by:
Clicking the Unsubscribe link in any Leeg marketing email
Adjusting your preferences in Settings > Notifications in the App
Emailing privacy@leegwork.com
Opting out of marketing does not affect Critical Communications (account alerts, breach notifications, changes to this Policy), which we may send regardless of your marketing preferences.
9. Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the App and meet our legal obligations.
Account and profile information — retained while your account is active, plus 7 years after account closure
Journal entries and goal plans — retained while your account is active; deleted upon account deletion request (subject to backup cycle)
Quiz responses and assessment results — retained while your account is active, plus 7 years after account closure
Knowledge boost interaction data — 24 months from collection, then aggregated or deleted
Usage and analytics data — 24 months from collection, then aggregated or deleted
Marketing consent records — duration of consent period plus 7 years (required by CASL)
Payment and billing records — 7 years from transaction date (tax and financial reporting requirements)
Support communications — 3 years from last communication
Security and fraud logs — 12 months from collection
Backup copies — deleted within 90 days of primary data deletion on a rolling backup cycle
When you delete your account, the account is deleted immediately. Some data may be retained longer where required by law, as described above.
10. International Data Transfers
Leeg is headquartered in Alberta, Canada. Your information may be transferred to and processed in:
Canada — where our primary infrastructure and team are located
United States — where some of our service providers operate
For Canadian users, transfers outside Canada are conducted in accordance with Alberta PIPA and PIPEDA, and we require our US-based service providers to maintain protections consistent with this Policy and applicable Canadian privacy law.
For US users, your information is primarily stored and processed in Canada and may be transferred to US-based service providers in the ordinary course of operating the App.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you are located, you have rights regarding your personal information. Here is how to exercise them.

You may authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf by providing written authorization.
12. Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously. Our safeguards include:
Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
Encryption of data at rest
Access controls that limit who within Leeg can access your personal information, based on their role and need
Regular security assessments
Contractual security requirements imposed on all third-party service providers
Employee training on data protection and security practices
No system is completely secure. While we take these precautions, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@leegworks.com.
13. Data Breach Notification
13.1 Canadian Users
If we experience a privacy breach that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will:
Notify the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (OIPC Alberta) and you directly, as soon as reasonably possible, in accordance with Alberta PIPA
Notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) and you if the breach meets the reporting threshold under PIPEDA
Maintain records of all breaches, whether or not they reach the reporting threshold, for a minimum of 24 months as required by PIPEDA
13.2 United States Users
We will notify affected US users of any data breach affecting their personal information in accordance with applicable US federal and state notification requirements, including where required by state breach notification laws.
14. Children's Privacy
